Former Chelsea defender Paulo Ferreira has praised the performances of right back Branislav Ivanovic.

The Serbian defender has been unshakeable from the right back spot at Chelsea for the last 12 months. His ability to defend well coupled with his attacking instincts seems have made him one of the important members in the team. Ferreira, who was once the club’s regular right back, says that he has been very impressed with the performances of Ivanovic so far this campaign. Ferreira is the club ambassador at Chelsea after having recently retired at the age of 35.

Santos names Ronaldo for friendly against France

The new Portugal boss, Fernando Santos, has named Cristiano Ronaldo in the squad that he has picked for the friendly encounter against France.
The Portuguese will be taking on Les Blues in a week time before they make their way to Denmark to play their second Euro qualifier.
As far as Portugal’s first qualifier is concerned, they lost it to Albania the previous month by a narrow margin.

Chelsea has been defeated by Manchester City in a Premier League match played at Etihad Stadium on Sunday. City won the match by 2-0. This was a dominant performance by the Citizens. This was their 16th win in the league. But, they are still 12 points behind the Red Devils who are at the first position in the points table.
