Portugal Hit By Ronaldo Injuries

Portugal is carrying out all of their preparations for the 2014 World Cup but they have been hit with a huge blow as C.Ronaldo continues on popping up with injuries.

C.Ronaldo is not only the star of Real Madrid but the eyes of the world will be locking their attention towards the Portuguese winger who secured the Ballon d’Or silverware some months ago and he has to step it up in order to prove why he earned this recognition.

Real Madrid had to cope without the services of C.Ronaldo for a considerable amount of matches during the past season after he has sustained a series of hamstring and knee injuries which left him out of action during crucial games for the Spanish team.

The head coach of Portugal, Paulo Bento is confident however that C.Ronaldo will be able to perform at his best during the upcoming World Cup.

“We have faith that Ronaldo will arrive fine at the tournament. At this moment you must know what is happening and look at the condition in which he will arrive. Then we will try and manage his condition in best way possible.”

Germany, Ghana and USA are the opponents that the team of Paulo Bento has to face off against during the group stages and all of them will pose difficulty which is why the availability of C.Ronaldo is such an important factor.

The Real Madrid star has already helped Portugal to where they are right now as he scored a hat-trick in the second-leg of their World Cup play-off against Sweden as he fired his nation and secured their ticket to Brazil.

Portugal initiates their 2014 World Cup campaign by playing against Germany on June 16.
